Mission Statement:

At 4 Paws Yorkshire, our mission is to make dog owners' lives easier by providing high-quality and functional waterproof dog blankets. We aim to ensure that every dog can enjoy adventures without compromising the cleanliness and comfort of your home, allowing owners to share every moment with their furry friends worry-free.

Our Story:

4 Paws Yorkshire was founded in 2023 by father and daughter duo Dave & Beth from Yorkshire in the UK.

Having their two beloved family dogs, who are in their senior years, Hollie the 14 year old (puppy) had a couple of strokes and was left incontinent. Then just to compound things, Poppy the 12 year old Labrador began her own ageing journey, forgetting her toilet training. This was a coincidence we could have done without. Not wanting to change either of their places on the sofa or bed, we were left having to do a lot more washing than we wanted.

At the same time Beth’s sister had introduced little Albie, the Cockerpoo puppy into their home. It was true to say he couldn’t quite get the hang of going outside to the toilet, and was also born a water baby. Everyday after the river or beach it was a towel dry, but impossible to get him completely dry.

As a family, we found ourselves in a position of looking for a waterproof dog blanket that could protect our furniture, homes, cars and that looked good. We searched high and low for a blanket that stayed 100% waterproof, but unfortunately couldn’t find one. The blankets we did order only stayed waterproof before the initial wash, the waterproof lining was noisy and the blankets were, in our view, of very low quality. Not what we wanted for our pets!

What now I hear you say! Well, this sparked a light bulb moment for us! We can do better than this! We proceeded to research and create a brand all about keeping yours (and our) beloved pets comfortable and snuggly. Being mindful not to compromise on the aesthetics of your home. We proceeded to design a premium, deluxe blanket where the the waterproof lining wasn’t noisy and could withstand accidents and real wet play time!

4 Paws Yorkshire is family run and like the community we are building, very close knit! Throughout our journey we have involved all of our family, friends and fur babies in every decision we have made, testing our blankets in the real world of dogs.

With our family dogs having a wide range of ages and now needs, we also wanted to provide a place where you can access information from professionals in our industry. On our Instagram page we have teamed up with a very experienced dog trainer, vet, groomer and many more to help and advise you where we can, if you have a puppy or an elderly (puppy) we have you covered!
